Capital Craft
A satirical Minecraft mod that parodies subscription-based gaming economics.
"Where every block is a privilege, not a right!"
Crafting table usage is a premium feature
What is Capital Craft?
Capital Craft is a Fabric mod for Minecraft 1.21.9 that transforms your block game into a nightmarish subscription service experience. It's a satirical commentary on exploitative monetization practices in modern gaming.
Important: This mod is SATIRE. No real money is involved - just your precious in-game resources, from humble cobblestone to rare nether stars.
Features
Subscription Tiers
Pricing follows your natural game progression - start humble with cobblestone, end with nether stars!
| Tier | Blocks/Day | Cost | Game Stage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free Trial | 32 | Free* | Spawn |
| Basic Plan | 500 | 16 dirt + 16 wood logs | Early game |
| Premium | 2,000 | 32 cobblestone + 16 coal | Mid game |
| Enterprise | 10,000** | 16 iron ingots + 8 diamonds | Late game |
| Premium Plus Ultra | "Unlimited" | 32 diamonds + 16 emeralds + 1 nether star | End game |
*Free Trial includes both placing AND breaking blocks. Combined. No crafting table required for Basic upgrade!
**"Fair usage policy" applies. Actually capped at 10,000.
The Kafkaesque Experience
- Dynamic Pricing: Rare blocks cost more from your quota. Mining diamond ore? That's 5 blocks from your allowance!
- Surge Pricing: Weekend and evening gameplay costs 1.5x more. Mine during off-peak hours for savings!
- Auto-Renewal Trap: Subscriptions auto-renew. Can't afford it? Welcome to debt!
- Loan Shark Villagers: Friendly NPCs that offer "bridge financing" at 200% interest
Dark Pattern Features
- 40-page EULA you must accept before mining (with gems like "Section 37.4: All blocks remain property of Capital Craft LLC")
- 12-step cancellation flow with increasingly guilt-trippy messages and shrinking confirm buttons
- Constant popups: "You've used 85% of your allowance!", "Rate your mining experience!", etc.
- Fake server load warnings in your single-player world
- Achievement spam: "Congratulations! You've mined 100 blocks! Celebrate by upgrading?"
Feature Bundling
- Crafting tables require "Crafting Plus" (random access denial for free users)
- Furnaces are part of the "Smelting Suite" (limited access for free users)
- The Nether is DLC (coming soon)
- End Portal requires the "Endgame Access Pass" (coming soon)

The Point
This mod exists to highlight the absurdity of:
- Artificial scarcity in digital goods
- Subscription fatigue and dark patterns
- Predatory auto-renewal practices
- Hostile cancellation flows
- "Engagement" mechanics that prioritize addiction over enjoyment
- The gradual erosion of game ownership
If this mod frustrates you, remember: real games do this with real money. Capital Craft uses diamonds because we have standards.
FAQ
Q: Can I disable the popups? A: Yes! Upgrade to Premium Plus Ultra for reduced popup frequency. That'll be one nether star.
Q: This is annoying! A: That's the point. Now think about every mobile game you've ever played.
Q: Is there a way to get unlimited blocks?
A: Play in Creative mode, or find the hidden /cancelsubscription command and navigate all 12 guilt-trip screens.
Q: Why would anyone install this? A: To experience the horrors of subscription gaming in a safe, satirical environment. Also, it's funny.
